What & Why?

These beginners agility sessions are for dogs who are starting agility training and are a great way to promote confidence whilst developing a great bond between you and your dog.  Agility is a fun energizing activity for both of you and so much more fun than running on a treadmill!  We train round a full set of competition standard equipment course of jumps and other obstacles but the height is adjusted according to indiividual dogs and their abilities and owner's aspirations.

Who?

Dogs must be over 12 months in order to participate in agility as below this age, they are still growing and can put too much strain on their limbs.

Basic obedience is required as your dog will need to be able to work off the lead but we do appreciate that running around the fenced paddock can sometimes be a bit too tempting for young dogs!  Dogs must generally be friendly around other dogs and people.

Whilst we can help you up to competive agility, we target at people looking to have fun training only or competing at a low level rather than people that have their sights on winning at Crufts!

We keep group sizes very small to ensure everytone gets the most out of the session.  There are a maximum of 4 or 5 dogs per session which allows you to learn from watching each other but minimising waiting times.

When?

Times for  Beginners  Agilty varies depeing on demand and availability.  The course will usually take place for 4 consecutive weeks (depending on bank holidays/holdiays etc), with each session lasting 1.5 hours

If you have specific requests for days and times, we will do our best to accommodate you and schedule a class accordingly.  Please get in touch at [email protected]

Where?

All group training takes place at our own training centre at Copas Farrm, High Street, Old Amersham, HP7 0EG.

Daytime courses take place face to face outdoors but if the weather is exceptionally bad (very heavy rain, strong winds or below 0 degrees);, training will take place in our training hall, unless government restrictions do not permit indoor training, in which case the session will be postponed.  Until daylight permits, all evening training will take place indoors on our carpeted training hall.

WhatsApp Groups

A WhatApp group chat will be set up for attendees for each course so that we can share videos from the course and communicate any changes to the class - eg indoors/outdoor/cancellations etc.  If you do not want to be included please specify this on your booking and send a text to Vikki  Cleaver on 07773 784402 so that you are not included.

If you have specific requests for days and times, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you and schedule a class accordingly at [email protected]
